2. What personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Contact details you provide: name, email, phone (if provided), city/country.
- Inquiry details: information you submit via forms (e.g. listening session requests, messages).
- Technical and usage data: IP address, device/browser data, pages viewed, approximate location (city/country), and cookie identifiers.
We do not intentionally collect personal data from children.
3. Why we use your data
We use personal data to:
- respond to inquiries and arrange listening sessions,
- provide customer support and handle requests,
- improve website performance and user experience,
- maintain website security and prevent abuse,
- comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we process your data based on:
- steps prior to entering a contract / contract necessity,
- legitimate interests,
- consent (for optional cookies/analytics where required),
- legal obligation (where applicable).
5. Marketing communications
We do not send marketing newsletters by default. If you explicitly request to receive materials or opt in to future updates, you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails or by contacting us.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our own website statistics are anonymous and set no cookies. Nothing is stored on your device. Visits are grouped using a salted one-way hash of IP address and browser that is regenerated every day, so it cannot be reversed to identify you or joined together into a profile over time. Because this involves no storage on your device and no personal data, it needs no consent and runs for every visitor.
One technology does require your consent: the Meta pixel, which lets us see which Facebook and Instagram advertisements bring people to this site. It stores a cookie on your device and transmits data to Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd and to Meta Platforms Inc in the United States, which acts as a joint controller with us for that collection and transmission.
- It is off by default and loads nothing at all until you accept.
- If you decline, no Meta code is loaded and no data is sent — neither at the time nor retrospectively should you accept later.
- You can change your answer whenever you like, using the “Advertising cookies” link at the foot of every page.
We also use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure page performance. Both are cookieless and collect no personal data.
7. Forms, sessions, and requests
If you submit a form (e.g. “Book a listening session”), we use the data you provide to contact you and fulfil your request.
8. Sharing of data
We may share data with trusted service providers who help us operate the website (hosting, analytics, email delivery for requested materials). We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights and security.
9. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the EEA. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
10. Data retention
- Inquiries / session requests: up to 24 months after last interaction.
- Our own website statistics: retained indefinitely in aggregate. They contain no personal data, and the daily visitor hash is not reversible.
- Meta pixel data: held by Meta under its own retention policy, and only where you consented.
- Legal/compliance data: as required by law.
11. Your rights
You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object, and data portability; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise rights, email office@wesimply.at. You may lodge a complaint with Lithuania’s supervisory authority: VDAI.
12. Security
We apply reasonable measures to protect personal data. No system is completely secure.
13. Third-party links
We may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
14. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date indicates the latest revision.
